diy: make your own mini with scraps

One of the pretty elements of my Dear Lizzy spring line is the fabric paper. Here’s a cool way to use those scraps and some simple embellishments to make a mini album.

Use your score blade to score the 4″x12″ fabric paper spine every 1″.

Remove the adhesive backing and adhere the creases together.
Attach 4″x4″ pieces of paper to the fabric tabs. (Some scrapbook adhesive work if not try fabritac or hot glue.)
Hold the ribbon where you want it then
use a 4″x3″ piece of adhesive backed fabric paper as the outside spine cover which also holds the ribbon in place.
Add your photos with layered flowers, tulle, glitter buttons and glitter brads and attach to each page. Rotate where you place them so the book can sit more closed.
I used pictures and journaled about my little q-bear. This quick mini makes a great gift too!

Scrap Fabric Flowers!

OMG, I just love these – they are so cute and I love making them! I’ve gone a little flower crazy and my daughters (and myself) will be wearing a different coloured flower in their hair everyday for years!

I’m currently selling the Red Gingham versions of these pretty little things – keep an eye out for loads of different versions soon to come!

Adorable Handmade Red Gingham Shabby Chic Style Fabric Flower for Accessorizing or Embellishments

This beautiful, unique and handmade piece is perfect for a variety of accessorizing and embellishing situations.

Each flower incorporates a handsewn fabric disk on the back of the flower for which you can use to make the process of stitching, gluing, fastening, pinning or clipping the flower to your desired accessory easier. This flower looks gorgeous as a hair accessory, either clipped by inserting the top of a kirby grip into the pocket formed by the back disk or looped around a hairband or bobble. My daughter’s hair looks gorgeous in bunches with one of these clipped either side.

Here’s a few more suggestions of how you can use these flowers: For embellishing handbags, scarves, purses, shoes and clothing. As a brooch or choker neckpiece. For a dramatic finish to Scrapbooking and papercraft projects. For gift-wrap toppers. As a beautiful accessory to your own sewing pieces. For home decor such as on scatter cushions or curtain tie-backs. The possibilities are endless!

Each flower measures approx 3″ across and is made from 5 soft cotton fabric petals pulled in with a card re-inforced center button piece. A matching cotton circle disk is handsewn to the back of each piece for fastening purposes.

Sponge clean only. DO NOT immerse in water.

All our items are gift wrapped for free ~ Each item is carefully  gift wrapped in colourful tissue paper, tied with parcel string and topped with a beautiful  hand written Lily P Chic tag. Each parcel will then be sealed in a plastic bag to prevent any water damage that may occur and finally wrapped in heavy duty brown paper parcel wrap for postage. If you are buying this item as a gift for someone and would like the gift wrapping items kept separate so that you are at liberty to view the piece and then wrap yourself please add a note to your order.

Because we all deserve to wear flowers in our hair!
